Lookman Oshodi, Commonwealth Professional Fellow, is the Project Director of Arctic Infrastructure (AI) based in Lagos, Nigeria. Arctic Infrastructure (AI) is a private establishment with broad focus on infrastructure delivery, urban development and environment. It is a development organization engaging in the planning, engineering, procurement, construction and management of infrastructure and spaces.
He is an International Jury Member with the Metropolis, World Association of the Major Metropolises. He worked in assessing and selecting 6 pilot projects from 11 projects submitted by 24 governments of major metropolises across the world to the Metropolis as part of the 2nd edition of the Metropolis pilot projects, for 2018 – 2020. He evaluated 11 urban development and infrastructure projects from 24 urban centers across the world from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Iran, Spain, and the United States among others.
He is working, as a Consultant, with Heinrich Boll Stiftung (hbs), Water Aid UK, Save the Children International, Dutch Alliance for Sustainable Urban Development in Africa (DASUDA), Institute for Liberty and Democracy, Peru (ILD), SUPPORT of Switzerland and Community Energy Scotland among other international and local organizations in strategic infrastructure delivery and urban development. His experience in urban infrastructure value chain ranges from housing, transportation, water and sanitation, energy to healthcare.
He had participated in policy and institutional reform among which were the revision and updating of National Human Settlement Policy for the Republic of Rwanda and formulation of institutional reform guide for Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA)
